Before the real estate crush, I thought I found the best way to make money, which was the real estate investing. I did make good money investing in real estate until 2007. Long story short, I lost most of my investment properties to foreclosure and short sale and accumulated tons of credit card debt between 2007 and 2010.
Don’t get me wrong though. I still think real estate investing is one of the best ways to create long-term wealth, if you have the right strategy and know where and when to invest. However, I don’t think real estate investing is for everyone, especially not for people who prefer to control every step of their investment.

Well, there are really a lot of great ways that you can make money in this world. I don’t know about you, but I did find some ways to make good money. Keep in mind though; they are not so called “get rich quick” methods, although some ads tend to mislead people to believe that you can make money quick or overnight. The truth is you do need to put your time and effort to make it happen and it will happen.
OK, based on my experience, my best way to make money is to make money online from home.
Ways to make money online from home
1.) Make money with affiliate marketing/ affiliate programs
Many stores offer affiliate programs, such as Target, Best buy, Wal-Mart, Amazon, airlines, sports shops and so on. Browse their websites and look for affiliate programs.
2.) Make money blogging
What is your passion? What do you like to talk about the most? Are you good at certain things, such as teaching, drawing, cooking, training dogs, or something unique? You can put everything you are passionate about in your blog and start blogging.
3.) Make money with a website
Similar to blogging, you can create a website or hire someone to build a site for you and make money with Adsense, Cickbank or Amazon.
4.) Make money on ebay
Higher earners are created everyday thru ebay. I know it’s getting harder and harder to get into ebay affiliate partner program. However, if you like to buy and sell on ebay, you should give it a try.
5.) Freelancing
Do you enjoy writing? Did you know you can also make money writing articles? With millions of site owners in this online world, article content providers are in great demand.
5.) Publish on Kindle
Due to the popularity of Kindle, if you are very knowledgeable in some area, you should write an ebook and publish it on Kindle. With Kindle Direct Publishing, you can publish your own books on Amazon Kindle Store. It is fast, easy and, best of all, it’s free.
6.) Become a virtual assistant
There are many virtual assistant services you can sign up either online or at your local area. Virtual assistant jobs includes virtual office assistant, virtual personal assistant, virtual administrative assistant. And if you have some website experience, you can even become a virtual assistant in website creation, article marketing or project managing.
